✦ However, there are some restrictions that have to be known.

1.Foul/Inappropriate language in your song has to be either deleted or edited. If your track is not suitable for mainstream radio, it is not suitable for Rock Band. Rock Band is a Teen-rated game. Explicit lyrics and mature subject matter are prohibited. This may include, but is not limited to, drug use, sex, and violence.

2.You must be 18+ years old to submit your song.

3.You must be a US Resident to collect your royalties or assign your rights legally for some US Resident or US company to collect royalties for you (if you are not US Resident).

4.You must own publishing and sound recording rights for the songs you intend to submit.
NOTE: KeySound Records reserves the right to evaluate all submissions and reject content that is not appropriate or possible to be authored for RBN. In that case you may choose another company for authoring process. We would like to make the best and most fun to play product for the game.

✦ The Rock Band Network Store was publicly available on March 4, 2010 for all Xbox 360 players in selected countries (US, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Singapore).

LET x = the number of seconds in your song. EXAMPLE: Let’s say the total duration of your song is 2 minutes 48 seconds, which is equal 168 seconds. You would input the number of seconds in your song into this formula:
Price= $6.58x Example: Price= $6.58 X 168= $1105.44

NOTE: Additional price of $100 dollars a year may apply by Creators and Microsoft for XNA account that allows you to control your submission and collecting royalties (Only For US Residents 18+ years old) or you have to assign your rights for submission legally for some US Resident or US company to collect submissions and royalties on your behalf (if you are not US Resident). ✦The Wii does not allow title patches, and as such, Network songs will only be offered if placed onto. Artists retain full control on their songs.

✦ In the Rock Band 3 Network, the songs posted by independent and major labels are no longer separated, they are now sorted alphabetically. This allows for independent artists, labels, and their songs to get noticed more easily.
